It certainly does, but there’s a richness to having two banks of inline-4s that you can’t possibly get with just one.
Also, the 4C has a relatively low redline of 6500 rpm.

Yup! That picture is like a year and a half old but it was relevant given your photos. I actually thought at first your photo was with spambot until I looked closer and saw it was a 355. And that the red was different. But the pic looked like Socal so it was possible.
